I reside in China Township where I was born and raised. I currently own the last operating dairy farm in China Township with my husband Dan. Prior to marriage, I had a career in Broadcast Journalism with a focus on consumer advocacy.
I have served on the China Township Parks and Recreation Committee since 2018. I was responsible for leading the Proposal 131 ballot referendum petition effort in Ira Township in 2022 preventing the industrial rezoning of a parcel of farmland adjacent to the Marine City Highway Corridor.
I am a Born Again Christian and a member of the church Peacemakers International. I also regularly attends Mount Pleasant Bible Church in Wales Township.
I am a strong supporter of government transparency, the 2nd amendment, protecting rural and small-town culture, and being available and easily reachable to constituents.
I have two young nephews at home and am due with my first child in September—I felt it was the right time to run for office to protect their quality of life in St. Clair County; and to give the constituents in District 7 a Commissioner who will be easily available to them and vote for them instead of special interest groups.
